Here is a set of photoshop actions I have created for setting up still images for use in premiere. Both of these actions use a DV frame size of 720 X 480 not a D1 Frame size of 720 X 486.Action 1 (Tall shot to NTSC)
This action will take an image that is a vertical shot and conform it to the image size for NTSC. I set it up using the action safe zone.

This action will take an image that is a horizontal shot and conform it to the image size for NTSC. I set it up using the action safe zone.
